Talking Windows That Transmit Ads Directly to Your Brain

New technology (“Bone Conduction”) now allows advertisers to use talking windows. A TV network used this technology to promote their new services: with the help of BBDO Düsseldorf, they used a special transmitter that releases high-frequency oscillations that are converted into sound in the brain in order to transmit a special advertising message that could only be heard when a train passenger leans his/her head against the window. This way, they turned a silent, vibrating window into a completely new audio medium. This tool could be useful for people with hearing problems.
